English Carved Oak Blanket Chest #1

Circa late 18th – early 19th Century England. This stunning antique oak blanket chest/coffer is truly a work of art. The front side features three beautiful floral inlays surrounded by intricately hand-carved details, a brass center (lock) and carved bracket feet. Both sides are designed with more simple framed panels. The three plank top lifts to an open interior with a small original candle box.  Full of antique character, this would be perfect at the end of a bed, down a hallway, or as a low sofa table.
